Probably writing gmat and scoring 700 plus is easiar than selecting the universities for application.Then the question arises how to select universities to optimize you chance for admission ,scholarship and get into stream of your choice. The first step in selecting universities would be honest review of your resume. Then try to find old contacts from your college/workplace who have similar profiles and are already doing MBA in US. They are the one who can give insight about the universities. Try to prepare resume which covers all your considerable acheivements and worth to mention. Don't shy to include offbeat interests in resume. Before you start looking for universities to app you must do introspection. You must be clear about your interest/stream. You must be clear about the goal after MBA and most important why you want to do MBA. So you must ask following questions to yourself
1)Why MBA?
2)Which stream?
3)What after MBA?
Once you have answer for all three above question and you already established contact with your classmates/peers who are doing/have done MBA. Now you are in position to hit the net toget as much info as possible. The best thing would be to go through the previous years Financial Times ranking. You must set a realistic target for application. You are the one who knows your strengths/weakness/acheivements better than others.
