"There nothing permanent in this world than change""Tree which doesn't bend in wind, breaks"Why we always get gyan to change to new environment, to new ambiance, to new atmosphere ?Can't we survive without change? Didn't Greek empire survived for centuries? didn't Roman empire flourished for years ?
Dinosaurs flourished on earth for almost half million years. But they could cope with the sudden dip in temperature. and within no time entire species got extinct. The still remains unanswered why they couldn't survive ? The Darwin principles provide insight about the principle of adaptability and its close relationship with chance of survivability. So to survive we require adaptability and In case any species is reluctant then that becomes history.
Can't the same principle applies to professional career of any person. We know change is inevitable. So we should equip our self to deal with any change.
In my next article you will get detail about the changes in professional career.

How to start selecting university
Probably writing gmat and scoring 700 plus is easiar than selecting the universities for application. Then the question arises how to select universities to optimize you chance for admission ,scholarship and get into stream of your choice. The first step in selecting universities would be honest review of your resume. Then try to find old contacts from your college/workplace who have similar profiles and are already doing MBA in US. They are the one who can give insight about the universities. Try to prepare resume which covers all your considerable acheivements and worth to mention. Don't shy to include offbeat interests in resume. Before you start looking for universities to app you must do introspection. You must be clear about your interest/stream. You must be clear about the goal after MBA and most important why you want to do MBA. So you must ask following questions to yourself
1)Why MBA?
2)Which stream?
3)What after MBA?
Once you have answer for all three above question and you already established contact with your classmates/peers who are doing/have done MBA. Now you are in position to hit the net toget as much info as possible. The best thing would be to go through the previous years Financial Times ranking. You must set a realistic target for application. You are the one who knows your strengths/weakness/acheivements better than others.
In the next article I will provide more details about selecting universities.

Punta Del Este in Uruguay
In the east of the territory, where the sun rises every day on the horizon, the Uruguayan different maritime coast begins. The natural unevenesses of this coast draw strange forms and there appears coves, dunes, backwaters, rocky places, long sandy strips which forms some of international resorts, towards the capital Montevideo. Ammong these jewels there is tourist diamond: Punte Del este. It was born within a small and narrow peninsula, entering in the ocean as a finger of land pointing out to the horizon, from where the extraordinary luminosity that surrounds it comes from. First the beautiful summer houses, then familiar hotels and since the 50's an important expansion transformed it in a rest place with high standard of living for a 'live as you like' but with status and comfort.Nobody feels strange at Punte Del este, despite the enormous and sophisticated buildings showing the coast towards the center of this place.

after basics
If you are done with princeton review book and basic grammer (Wren and Wartin) then go for few sample tests. Sample tests are available with the princeton review book and Kaplan. Don't take all the sample tests at this. 2-3 sample tests would be enough. Also the sectional sample tests are available at topscore.com . Around 25 sample tests are available at this site. Try to complete them at this stage. Once you are through with the sample tests, move to adavnce topics. Some of advance topics from quatative and verbal are available in kaplan review and kaplan verbal. These two books contains good material for advanced topics. Also at same time start reading Arco essay book for gmat essays. Though this book may not be the best but this is more than enough to prepare for gmat essays. Don't skip first two chapters from Arco book. These chapters provides detail about the essays basic. We must understand essay is not just about writing the words, But gmat judges your ability to express clear ideas through essays. You analytical and decision making abilities are judged through essays. So its very important to through the first chapter in arco essay book. This chapter contain some "do and don't" list. Which we should remember while writing the essays. Ideally you should spend approximately two weeks time to finish both the kaplan book and the essay book.
India to South America
When we ask anybody about Uruguay in India. Probably the reaction may not be very encouraging. Half of my friend didn't know any thing about the Uruguay.Other half had impression that Uruguay is in Africa. But very few knew that Uruguay is in South America and the same country has won olympics football gold meday in 1924 and 1928, the same country has won Fifa world cup Trophy in 1930 and 1950, the same country is world 9th biggest rice exporter, the same country country has best sea beach in south america. There lot about Uruguay which is very interesting and amazing. I will post series of posts related to Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. In this post I will give detail , how to plan trip from India to South America. Plan for trip to south american countries starts with visa application. Argentinian , Uruguayan and Brazilian embassies are in Delhi. One can either apply for work permit or for tourist visa. If the purpose of visit is tourism then tourist visa better bet. For tourist visa one should pay visa fee (example: 700 R for brasil, 1 R= 20 Rs approx values), credit card detail or bank statement and submit the filled form.Since there now direct flight from India to south America, One can opt either of two two routes to reach the gate to south america. Sao Paolo is known as gate to south america. One can either go through Johanasburg (south America) or through europe ( Milan, Paris, Frankfurt, London). Earliar we requires to take transit visa for south Africa But now this is not required. But we may require to transit visa for UK in case the transit time is more than 12 hrs. Route through South Africa is shorter but has more transit time compared to Route through europe. Also the tickets are costlier on South African route. From South Africa/Europe direct flight is available to Sao Paolo. Sao Paolo is gate to South America and well connected to almost all major cities in world. It is also the business capital of Brazil. Already there talk going between the aviation ministries of Brasil and India to plan for direct flights between Mumbai and Sao Paolo. From Sao Paolo direct flights are available to major tourist location in Brasil, Uruguay and Argentina. Also one can opt for road routes to visit the tourist location.
How to start for gmat test
One should take around four to ten weeks for test preparation. Preparation can start with taking a power prep sample test. Power prep sample tests are very close to official gmat exam. So when you take this sample test without much preparation then this will provide ample idea about your current level and gap between the current level and desired score. Analyse the mistakes done in the sample test. Identify all the strong and weak areas. Later you should start preparation based on sample test analysis. The best book to start with basics is princeton gmat review book. This book is good to brush the maths basic concepts and english grammer rules. To learn more about the english basic grammer rule also refer the grammer book by wren and martin. There no need to read all the sections from wren and martin. Section one is more than enough and it provides all the basic grammer rules. Normally it takes around ten days time to finish the princeton review book and another 3-4 days to complete the wren and martin grammer book. So one can set two weeks target to finish the basics from these two books. Once you brushed the basic go for another sample test preferable take princeton sample test. Do the through analysis of this sample test. This test score should be close to your target gmat score. If you find unreasonable gap between the sample test score and target score then It is the time to either revise your target score or look for flaw in your basics preparation.

buckle you shoes for gmat
Early deadlines for most of management departments in United States start with september end. Also one need atleast one month time to work on application. So it would not be very unwise decision to write the test before august. So the next question arises how much time one need to preparare for test. my answer would be , it can be two weeks for a person but for another guy even twenty weeks won't be enough. This is a puzzle which cannot be solved with any maths theorem. Is it really difficult to decide the preparation time. The answer is 'NO', if the person can do honest instropection. He/She is the best person judge himself/her self. In my previous post I wrote gmat tests the logical and analytical abilities. So one should set a realistic score target.
graduate management aptitude test beginner
Writing a gmat exam can be one of most important moment in one's career. This exam plays a vital role in admission to management schools. So one need to be committed and wise enough to plan the preparation in right direction with minimal efforts. If we look at test pattern it contains three sections namely verbal, quantative and essays. But the bottomline always remain the same. This exam tests the logical, analytical and problem solving abilities. The verbal section is as analytical as the quantative and we can say same about the essays. What make this test different from others. In 90 percents of cases the retest does change the original score by more than 10 percent. So to crack this exam one need good logical and analytical abilities other than the smart preparation.
